APPLICATION OF PETROLEUM C9 RESIN IN ALKYD PAINT

 1. Introduction to petroleum

Petro resin is neutral and inert to colorants so it does not react with basic bases, it acts as a binder to increase dissociation, alkali resistance, and abrasion resistance.

With such advantages, Petro resin is used very successfully in oil printing varnishes and it creates iridescent colors for the film.

Petroleum C9 has a strong yellow color, often incorporated in alkyd paints, reducing costs and increasing some special properties.

2. Application
