BAKED PAINT ON THE SURFACE OF ALUMINUM MATERIAL
Aluminum is a common material with many applications in life. To protect and increase the aesthetics of items made of aluminum, people now use a layer of baked paint. It can be said that this is an effective choice, bringing many optimizations in terms of both quality and time.
1. What is baked paint?
- Baked paint is a high-temperature curing paint. This coating meets the requirements of the industrial coating process.
- Thanks to the variety of systems available, effective drying temperatures are from 80°C to 250°C. Drying times at these temperatures range from one minute to one hour.
2. Applications
- Dry paint is painted on the surface of aluminum materials for applications such as coil paint, can paint, car paint, motorcycle paint, electronic equipment, kitchen tools, etc.
- The paint on the surface of the items helps to prolong the life and aesthetics of the equipment and tools.
3. Advantages and disadvantages of baked paint
Paint drying has many outstanding advantages such as
+ Good adhesion
+ Quick drying
+ High hardness
+ Easy to paint and repair
+ Good chemical and corrosion resistance
+ High flexural and impact resistance.
+ High efficiency.
+ Good weather resistance
Bringing many advantages when using, however, to be able to produce baked paint, it is necessary to invest in a suitable drying chamber system. It can be said that this is a rather expensive cost and is the only drawback of the line of baked paint.

4. Technology transfer service for drying paint production at Megarad center.
In order to meet the demand of businesses that initially want to start participating in baked paint production, Mega Vietnam New Materials Research and Development Center wishes to cooperate and transfer production technology with a commitment to the best quality and the most affordable prices.
Our Empirical Research process when receiving customer articles goes as follows
- Searching for materials
- Paint sample test: Prepare materials, create paint formula, and test samples.
- Evaluation of finished paint.
- Aluminum surface treatment by sanding method to clean the rust layer on the surface from which the paint layer adheres better and is more durable. In addition, it can also be treated by chemical methods (this method is often applied in mechanical manufacturing plants. Immerse aluminum slides with alkaline or acidic chemicals).
- Construction by spray method.
- Dry the sample at 170 °C for 30 minutes.
- Physical and mechanical assessment and testing of relevant criteria on the specimen.
- Complete and optimize the formula for baked paint on aluminum based on market paint standards and customer requirements.
After assessing the basic criteria, paint samples are continued to be monitored and stored for a minimum of 6 months. After the drying time, the sample is guaranteed: No gel, no tight deposition, or any abnormal phenomenon.
Products delivered to customers go through a process of learning, research and testing before delivering a quality product.
- The process starts with receiving the task.
- Analyze target samples.
- Plan the experiment
- Give samples to customers for evaluation.
- Trial production.
- Official production stage
- Monitor stability in the market.
