1.What is PU 2K for metal?
2K PU paint is a type of coating made of urethane bond formation( -NH-CO-O-), the product is mixed from 2 components: acrylic polyol resin and Polyisocyanate curing agent.

2. Advantages and disadvantages of PU 2K paint
Because the paint film is formed by a chemical reaction between polyol acrylic resin and polyisocyanate to form a three-dimensional structure, 2K PU paint provides outstanding adhesion on surfaces such as iron, galvanized steel, stainless steel, wood, glass, plastic, etc Besides, the paint film has better chemical resistance and weather resistance than coating made of Alkyd, TPA, etc. Depending on the application that the manufacturer chooses the right resin components and curing agent for maximum effectiveness.
Though having many advantages compared to the 1K paint on the market, the 2K PU paint has a high price and requires many technical skills in the construction process which requires the mixing ratio of the manufacturer.

3. Mega’s paint
Understanding the needs of the market, Mega Chemical Vietnam would like to introduce two resin products: Polyol acrylic resin: AN-5476-63 and AN-7254-70 containing 2.6% and 3.12% OH content, respectively. OH provides flexibility in formula development while retaining the inherent properties of acrylic polyol resins such as good adhesion on metal surfaces, galvanized steel, stainless steel. The resin when combined with HDI cures provides high gloss and weather resistance.
