FIRE RETARDANT ADDITIVES FOR ABS, PC, HIPS

1. Introduction

TBPC is a white powder fire retardant additive, formula: C21H6Br9N3O3.

TBPC is a type of Br-N fire retardant additive, has good weather resistance, the large molecular structure allows TBPC to be UV resistant, and able to fix the disadvantages of other fire retardant additive (DBDPO and DBDPE)

In addition, TBPC is considered to be the replacement of DECA and TBBA because of its superior thermal stability.

TBPC decomposes at high temperatures without free Br, which can be used for environmentally friendly products.

2. Application

TBPC is widely used in high-tech resins such as HIPS, ABS / PC, PBT, PC, ABS, AS, etc.

TBPC is easily put into plastic by conventional machining methods such as injection molding, extrusion.

When combined with Sb2O3 will give much better efficiency, completely meet the current fire protection standards such as UL 94 V0.
