RUBBER PRICE 30/8: RUBBER FUTURES DOWN BELOW 0.5%

In the morning session on August 30, rubber futures prices fell slightly below 0.5%.

At the Tokyo Commodity Exchange (TOCOM), the price of rubber for November delivery in November 2022 was recorded at 229 JYP/kg, down 0.39% (equivalent to 0.9 JYP/kg) at the time of the survey at 6:55 am (Vietnam time).

On the Shanghai Commodity Futures Exchange (SHFE), the price of RSS3 rubber for September delivery was adjusted to 11,905 yuan/ton, down 0.33% (equivalent to 40 yuan) compared to the previous transaction.

In the first 7 months of 2022, Cambodia exported 161.56 thousand tons of dry rubber, worth USD 245.8 million, down 0.3% in volume and 6% in value over the same period in 2021.

The average export price reached $1,577/ton, down $95/ton (equivalent to a decrease of 5.7%) over the same period in 2021. Cambodia's rubber is exported mainly to markets such as Malaysia, Vietnam, Singapore and China.

Recently, Cambodia has planted rubber trees on a total area of 404,044 hectares, of which 310,193 hectares, equivalent to 77%, are old enough to exploit and tap rubber, according to the latest report from the Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade).

According to statistics of the General Department of Customs, in the first 7 months of 2022, Vietnam's rubber exports to Turkey reached 20.03 thousand tons, worth 37.04 million USD, up 9.9% in volume. and increased by 8.6% in value over the same period in 2021.

In the first 7 months of 2022, Vietnam exports to Turkey mainly natural rubber. Which, RSS3 rubber is exported to Turkey the most, accounting for 27.6% of total rubber exports to Turkey in the first 7 months of 2022.

In second place is Latex type, accounting for 26.9% and third is SVR10, accounting for 24.3% of total rubber exports to Turkey in the first 7 months of 2022.

Regarding export prices, in the first 7 months of 2022, the average export price of most types of rubber to Turkey decreased compared to the same period in 2021, of which the biggest decrease was SVR CV60, down 8.2%. ; RSS3 decreased by 7.3%; SVR CV50 down 4.6%, etc.

However, the average export price of some types of rubber to Turkey increased as SVR10 increased by 4.9%, SVR CV40 increased by 13.3%; SVR20 up 8.6%, etc.
