THE EXPORT VALUE OF MANY MAJOR INDUSTRIES HAS GROWN WELL

According to the General Department of Customs and analysis of the domestic market, the Import-Export Department, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has just made a positive assessment of the improved value of a number of Vietnam's export products. Recently, when the Covid-19 epidemic showed signs of being reversed.

Specifically, according to statistics of the General Department of Customs, in September 2021, rubber exports reached 180.68 thousand tons, worth 299.03 million USD, down 4.8% in volume and 4% in value compared to August 2021; down 12% in volume, but increased 12.9% in value compared to September 2020.

According to the Import-Export Department, in the first half of October 2021, the domestic price of raw rubber latex increased again, and the export situation recovered.

In September 2021, while rubber exports to the Chinese market decreased, exports to some markets continued to increase sharply compared to the same period in 2020. Vietnam's rubber market share in the total import volume of South Korea increased from 6.8% in 9 months of 2020 to 7.5% in 9 months of 2021.

The export value of many important commodities grew strongly

In addition, in the first nine months of 2021, the export value of wood and wood products reached $11.11 billion, up 30.6% over the same period in 2020. Vietnam's wooden furniture market share increased in total US imports.

Vietnam's coffee exports in September decreased by 10.2% in volume and 6.6% in value compared to August 2021, compared with September 2020, increased by 0.6% in volume and increased 11.7% in value, reaching 100.34 thousand tons, worth 210 million USD.

Also in the first nine months of 2021, Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports reached US$2.75 billion, up 10.4% over the same period in 2020. Vietnam's mango market share in Korea's total imports increased. .

The Import-Export Department also noted that Vietnam's seafood exports have improved since the end of September 2021 when the disease situation in the southern provinces was gradually controlled and areas eased the social distancing. Vietnam's shrimp market share in total US imports increased from 7.3% in the first 8 months of 2020 to 8.8% in the first 8 months of 2021.
