INTRODUCTION TO ZINC DUST 

 1. What is Zinc Dust 

 Zinc Dust is high-purity powdered zinc. It is gray in color, with an average density of about 7.13 g/cm3. Liquefaction at 419.5 degrees Celsius and boils at 906 degrees Celsius. It appeared from ancient times.

In nature, zinc powder exists in the form of compounds containing other metal elements, called ores. Depending on the different ores, we get more or less Zn powder, which is then synthesized into zinc Zinc Dust is a high purity, fine zinc powder, with many industrial applications.

 2. Application

 Zinc powder is used as an anti-corrosion agent in the field of paint: Ships, containers, construction paints, etc.

ZINC DUST is used to make alloys, such as Cu - Zn alloy (brass), Cu - Zn -Ni alloy, Cu - Al - Zn alloy. These alloys have high strength, corrosion resistance, are used to make machine parts, jewelry, and decoration.

Zn powder is used to make electrochemical batteries, as Zn - Mn is the most commonly used type of battery today; air-zinc battery.
