RUBBER EXPORT VALUES IN JANUARY 2021 INCREASED BY 140% COMPARED DEC2020
According to the Import and Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade), Vietnam's rubber export in January 2021 reached 200,000 tons, worth $ 321 million, going down by 11.6% in volume and 11% in value compared to the previous year. with December 2020.
Notably, compared to January 2020, an increase of 119.7% in volume and an increase of nearly 142% in value, the average export price increased by 0.7% compared to December 2020 and increased by more than 10% compared to the month. 1/2020 to 1,605 USD / ton.
According to the General Department of Vietnam Customs, in 2020, the mixture of natural rubber and synthetic rubber (HS code 400280) is the most exported commodity, accounting for 65.47%. In which, exports to China accounted for 99.12% of the country's total natural rubber and synthetic rubber exports, with 1.13 million tons, worth $ 1.55 billion, up 23, 7% in volume and 24.7% in value compared to 2019.
In 2020, the majority of exports of rubber types declined compared to 2019, except for a number of items that achieve growth such as Crude rubber, Latex, recycled rubber, SVR CV40, Skim block.

In 2020, the average export price of most rubber types tends to increase compared to 2019, except for some types with lower average export prices such as SVR 10, SVR 20, neoprene, rubber in Crepe type.
The Import-Export Department said that in the coming time, rubber exports would hardly increase due to the strong outbreak of COVID-19. Meanwhile, demand for Chinese rubber is at risk of decline due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
