RUBBER EXPORTS TO TURKEY UP 11% IN THE FIRST 5 MONTHS OF THE YEAR

The Import-Export Department (Ministry of Industry and Trade) quoted statistics from the General Department of Customs as saying that in the first five months of 2022, Vietnam's rubber exports to Turkey reached 13.72 thousand tons, worth 25.53 million USD, up 11% in production and 8.1% in value over the same period in 2021.

The structure of export products, in the first 5 months of 2022, Vietnam's exports to the Turkish market are mainly natural rubber. Which, the SVR10 type was exported to Turkey the most, accounting for 25.3% of the total rubber exported to Turkey in the first 5 months of 2022. In second place is RSS3 type, accounting for 24.4% and third is Latex, accounting for 22.4% of total rubber exports to Turkey in the first 5 months of 2022.

In terms of export prices, in the first 5 months of 2022, the average export price of most types of rubber to Turkey reached 1,860 USD/ton, down 2.6% over the same period in 2021. In which, the biggest decrease was RSS3 which decreased by 8.6%; Latex down 5%, SVR CV60 down 7.5%, etc.  However, the average export price of some types of rubber to Turkey increased as SVR10 increased by 5.9%, SVR20 increased by 8.6%, etc.

According to statistics of the International Trade Center (ITC), currently, Thailand, Russia, Indonesia, the Netherlands, and Ivory Coast are the 5 largest markets supplying rubber to Turkey. Notably, in the first 3 months of 2022, except for Indonesia, Turkey's rubber imports from these markets increased compared to the same period in 2021.

In the first 3 months of 2022, Vietnam is the 11th largest rubber supplier to Turkey with 8.42 thousand tons, worth 18.4 million USD, up 9.9% in volume and 22.3% in value over the same period in 2021.

Which, Vietnam is the fourth-largest supplier of natural rubber to Turkey, with 8.42 thousand tons, worth 18.4 million USD, up 9.9% in volume and 22.3% In terms of value compared to the same period in 2021, Vietnam's natural rubber market share in Turkey's total imports accounted for 11.3%, higher than 10.9% in the first 3 months of 2021.

In the first 3 months of 2022, Turkey imported 116.06 thousand tons of synthetic rubber (HS code 4002), worth USD 267.73 million, up 17.8% in volume and 59.2% in price value compared to the same period in 2021. Russia, the Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, and Germany are the 5 largest markets supplying synthetic rubber to Turkey. Vietnam's synthetic rubber has not been exported to Turkey.
