RUBBER PRICES ON 15/3 SIMULTANEOUSLY INCREASE ON ASIAN FLOORS
Rubber prices today 15/3 type term months 6/2021 on Osaka floor in the 268,1 JPY/kg, increased by 1.5 JPY than yesterday, the term months 7/2021 was at 271 JYP/kg.
On the Shanghai floor, the price of rubber in 6/2021 traded at 15.240 CNY/ton, increased 95 CNY in comparison with 13/3, term months 7/2021 in 15.330 CNY/ton (recorded at 8: 30 am day 15/3/2021).
The price of rubber in the world today kept increasing on the Asian floors.
In a publication released in 2/2021, the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC), said prospects for the production of natural rubber in the world in January 2/2021 likely decreased 12.4% compared with the same period last year, down 897.000 tons, based on the preliminary estimates.
In contrast, the global consumption of natural rubber in February is becoming active, estimated by ANRPC to increase 47.5% compared to the same month last year, reaching 1.103 million tons.
However, most rubber-producing countries are in the winter, when rubber trees lose their leaves and produced low latex (lasting from February to May), which has supported the upward trend in monthly average prices. In addition, the price of natural rubber is also beneficial from the crude oil prices increased on average 62,28 USD/barrel in January 2/2021, increased 13.7% compared to the previous month.
