2. Properties
Anti-aging agent TMQ is an antioxidant with relatively poor discoloration and fading properties. It provides outstanding protection against temperature effects in natural rubber, IR rubber, BR rubber, SBR rubber, NBR rubber, and EPDM but it is less suitable for CR rubber. Its effects are further improved when used with Vulkanox MB2 or ZMB2 which is particularly effective in products vulcanized with Thiuram with little or no sulfur content. Anti-aging agent TQM also protects against various types of rubber product contamination.
Soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, acetone, etc., slightly soluble in petroleum hydrocarbons, and insoluble in water.

3. Applications
Applications include rubber products requiring high-temperature resistance e.g. tires, conveyor belts, V-belts, hoses, gaskets, and sleeves but also footwear, soles, heels, rubber, and cables, not recommended for light-colored products.
