Application of stearic acid

Stearic acid is mainly used in the production of detergents, soaps, and cosmetics such as shampoos and shaving cream products.

  • Stearic acid can be used to make castings from a plaster piece mold or waste mold, and to make a mold from a shellacked clay original.
  • Stearic acid can be used as Lubricants, softening, and release agents In view of the soft texture of the sodium salt, which is the main component of soap, other salts are also useful for their lubricating properties.
  • Stearic acid is used in the manufacture or coating of zinc, magnesium, and other metals to reduce the oxidation of metals for better durability.
  • Stearic acid is present in diet sugars, or dietary oils, to limit weight gain.
  • Stearic acid is a common lubricant during injection molding and pressing of ceramic powders.

Stearic acid in rubber production

Attributes of stearic acid rubber grade that make it useful across multiple industries also make it an essential component of rubber production. The actions of stearic acid as an activator and lubricant yield benefits for the rubber industry of aiding in vulcanization and improving the texture of the finished products.

Application in rubber production

  • When mixing in other ingredients, adding stearic acid as a secondary dispersant will disperse the filler ingredients in the rubber.
  • Stearic acid for rubber applications provides lubrication and improved viscosity, as well as a softer texture for the finished product.
  • Activates the accelerator directly or through the formation of rubber-soluble zinc savons after reaction with zinc oxide. Diffuse fillers and other chemicals.
  • Stearic acid dissolves in rubber and partially migrates to the outside of the product to provide physical aging resistance to isolating the rubber and the air.

Currently, Mega Vietnam Chemical has been developing stearic acid products from Malaysia, Indonesia, China, etc in the domestic rubber market. With stable quality, reasonable price, and an experienced technical team in the rubber and plastic field, Mega believes to be your trustworthy partner!
