INSOLUBLE SULFUR

Insoluble sulfur is a new kind of vulcanizing agent for rubber, also known as Polymeric Sulfur.

It is called Insoluble Sulfur is because it is insoluble in Carbon disulfide (CS2), insoluble sulfur is also abbreviated IS.

IS is not only superior to the shortcomings of ordinary sulfur but also helps to improve the mechanical properties of rubber products.

IS increases the adhesion between the rubber mixture and other materials such as canvas, steel wire, increasing the abrasion resistance of rubber. Today, insoluble sulfur is an indispensable vulcanizing agent for the tire industry, especially for Radial tires.
