Ethylene Bis - Stearamide (EBS) is a compound composed of a long flexible hydrocarbon chain combined with a polar amide radical, creating a multipolar molecular structure. When used in plastics, EBS is compatible with both non-polar resins and those containing polar groups. Due to the flexibility of the EBS circuit, they tend to move to the outside of the plastic flow, thereby creating a lot of surface features for the product: glossy, smooth, and sticky, etc.

1. Uses of EBS

- EBS reduces flow friction, improves productivity, and reduces equipment wear.

- EBS improves the gloss of the product, reducing the line marks off the plastic.

- EBS helps to prevent surface adhesion, helping to separate the product from the mold in injection molding.

- EBS has the ability to support dispersion for many ingredients, such as color, filler, ... into plastic.

- EBS stabilizes the foam structure in EVA, PE, PS foam production technology...

2. Application of EBS

- Raw materials for color beads and mixing resins.

- Extrusion of pipes, extrusion of PVC cables.

- Injection molding products from ABS, PA, POM...

- Can be used for most plastics, such as PE, PP, ABS, PVC, PA, Epoxy...

Usage rate: 0.15 – 2% (depending on the specific application).
